How to check bopp tape quality

The viscosity Du is the main factor to judge the quality of transparent tape. The adhesive tape with high viscosity is good. Of course, this can’t be used as the only evaluation standard, because some poor quality tapes have a longer viscosity after leaving the factory and will not stick after a period of time. Good quality tape won’t do that. The main methods to judge the quality of the tape are as follows:

First look at the thickness of the tape tube, the thickness of the standard paper tube is 3mm. If you look at the diameter of the paper tube, the standard diameter is 7.8cm

Smell the tape. If the smell is strong or stinky, the quality is poor

Check the surface of the tape, including whether the two sides of the adhesive tape stick to the hand and whether there is a gap. The high-quality adhesive tape does not stick on both sides and there is no gap.

Check whether there are bubbles on the surface of the tape. The tape with good quality is rolled tightly without bubbles. Of course, there may be a few bubbles if the tape is newly manufactured.

Check the tension of the tape. If the tape is particularly easy to break, it is of poor quality. Good adhesive tape is not easy to break when using good transparent film.

The most important thing is to check the viscosity of the tape. There are many inspection methods. You can seal the box with tape, and then withdraw suddenly. The more peeling off the surface of the box, the better the viscosity. You can also pull a long piece of adhesive tape, divide it into two, fold it in the middle, fully fit it, and then pull it up suddenly. If the tape is pulled up continuously or part of the tape breaks during the pulling up process, it indicates that the adhesive force is strong.
