What is Stretch Wrap

What is Stretch Wrap?

Stretch wrap is a polyethylene plastic generally used to hold boxes on a pallet for transport.
Stretch wrap is pulled around the load and stretched. The plastic has a memory and wants to return to its original size. Thus the "elastic band effect" holds the load tight.

How to apply shrink wrap to outside furniture

Shrink wrap can refer to the rolls of film that are used to secure furniture for moving purposes or the industrial sheeting used to protect boats and other large items from the cold winter months as the weather worsens.
Regardless of the type of wrap you’re using, you can shrink wrap your outdoor furniture items separately, or stack them together and wrap them as a bundle.

Which is stronger cast or blown shrink wrap

Stretch Wrap- A highly stretchable plastic film commonly made from Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) that is wrapped around items. The elastic recovery keeps the items tightly bound. Stretch film is commonly used to wrap products on pallets and secure them to each other and the pallet.

This often helps to reduce products loss, discourage load tampering, and reduce worker injuryBelow is a breakdown of the two most commonly used extrusion processes of stretch film.

Typical gauges for stretch film or pallet wrap

Typical gauges for stretch film or pallet wrap range from 63 to 80 gauge, though some lighter gauges do exist. This level of thickness ensures that the wrap can stretch taut to your products without the risk of puncturing. Lighter gauges ensure efficient wrapping of smaller, lighter loads,

while heavier gauges are designed for significantly larger applications. Here are some general weight guidelines:
